Our farm animals

For our small guests, a farm holiday is usually a very special experience. Here, they may personally meet a variety of different animals, which often they only know from TV. They may learn how to deal and work with animals, and of course our young guests may also help with our daily farm work. For example, the may collect the eggs of our chickens.

More than just a petting zoo

On the farm Oberstampfeter Hof, there are mostly small animals, such as chickens, goats, cats, a dog and rabbits. However, the farm is much more than just a petting zoo for guests. Our livestock also includes pigs, horses and cows – everything you might expect from a typical farm in South Tyrol.

The children may come in close contact with the animals, for example, during a short ride on a horse. Not only they will have the opportunity to sit on a horse, but they will also learn how to take care of these animals.

Furthermore, our guests may take part in a tour of the farm and discover where everyday products – such as eggs, milk or ham – come from. Many of the products which our guests will find on the breakfast table are home-made. Of course, we will also explain our interested visitors what happens for example with the milk after a cow has been milked.
